hey mark just a quick question. I just bought a basic 500 twin head setup with a soft box and an umbrella. But im still unsure about a couple of things.
When im doing a shoot do i have the lights ON at full power so i can see where there lighting while they fire. Or do i leave them off and while they fire.
Also what power ( stop) setting would you recommend.

what about each lights watt rating?

you can get cheap 3 light setups but most are only rated at 400 watts each light. do you have a recommended minimum wattage.

its great to see how much more beautiful a picture can be with a separation light…..and i like the blue background and how it glows behind the pix..
